BLB Investors in Rhode Island is anxious to make progress with the planned 160,000 square foot expansion of the Lincoln Park Race Track. The greyhound track is set to undergo a massive face lift that will bring "more slot machines, more dining, more entertainment and a sleeker, Las Vegas-like look." The project should be completed some time next year, and has the aspirations of making the track a regional gaming and slot machine destination with the capability of bringing in thousands of dollars of tax revenue for the area.

The expansion is set to cost roughly one-hundred-and-twenty-five million dollars, which includes the purchase of 1,750 more slot machines that already grace the present premise floor. Six-hundred of the new slot machines have already been squeezed into the track - but all of the rest are waiting patiently for the construction to be completed on the added square footage.

Other anticipated additions include the five-hundred new valet parking spots for patrons, and a state-of-the-art entertainment venue that will seat fifteen-hundred people for musical or theatrical performances, and seat over two thousand people in attendance at a sporting event. And with events of that size, they also know it is going to be a necessity to have an establishment on the premise to feed all of the people. So, they are planning on building a Jonny Rockets diner and a huge, full-service buffet.
